I just had a long bout with an obstinate exchange server while moving my NT
domain over to a samba domain. The battle was bloody and lasted almost 60
hours straight! I'm now much more inclined to setting up an internal unix
mail server. My needs are two fold: something mutt can connect to for me (I
used imap with exchange, but it doesn't work in a samba domain. :(, and
something that will work with outlook. Imap will probably be fine, but I'm
open to other solutions. Which imap server do I want to use? I want
something standard and widely used, light weight, stable and easy to
configure. I see cyrus, courier and uw-imapd.

Thanks,
Cory
