...eh... it's ok.  What would be really cool is to press m for a new
message, type in a name and it searches ldap.  Instead one must press Q from
the menu, type in a name, select from the results and then one can press m
for a message or a to make an alias.

I modified the script a little for better use:
1) removed abook section
2) changed filter to the following:
        filter => "(| (cn=$q*) (uid=$q) (sn=$q*))" );

The change basically allows partial first and last name searches:
cory*  or petk*
