I hesitate to even respond since I know that some people would rather
off-topic posts be put somewhere else. Given that I put up with over a
week
of "Matrix" posts, I'd like to give a couple of cents, and then perhaps
we should drop it, or maybe we should email eachother individually.

Which brings me to my first point. I brought this up once before, and
will
again, the fact that there is an overwhelming amount of mail from this
list because all replies are always sent to the entire list. I setup my
own mailman lists to reply to the sender only (the default). One can
always
copy the entire group and what not. This is indeed the default. Does
anyone
else rather it were that way, or am I the only oddball in this group of
oddballs? I think it is often counterproductive for the entire group to be

sent a response that is being sent from one person to another who needs
help.

 I digress....

About my post, I didn't intend for anyone to comment on this guy, but
rather I wanted to "spread the word" about him. Posting
to a list like this is playing with "fire", it would appear, and I'm more
than a little disapointed in some of the responses to my posting, namely
in what amounts to (in my opinion) baiting, and name calling.

Be that as it may, there have been some "interesting" responses to my
message. I think it would behoove me (and the entire list) to leave them
alone and not comment on them.

back to unix and linux for me....

Everything you've learned in school as "obvious" becomes less and less obvious as you
begin to study the universe. For example, there are no solids in the universe. There's
not even a suggestion of a solid. There are no absolute continuums. There are no
surfaces. There are no straight lines. -- R. Buckminster Fuller
