In the party zone. You might get the occasional whiff of tear gas.
You may be prompted to set off one of these police riots by making noise
complaints. Historically the tear gas and pepper spray have been deployed
most often at 17th and Hilyard (2 blocks away}. Overrun with Sophomores,
mostly nice kids, but inclined to party.

This is nice, mild hills on a short bike ride. Excellent dog area.
