Count me in, as interested but not experienced in Blender. I am curious
about the different "versions" they've made: I remember when the FPS
gaming engine became built in, and then most recently they have a
release which is tailored for video production, IIRC...

I am interested in learning to use th interface enough to build up
simple objects, cut-N-paste and rotate-N-translate those bits to make
slightly more complex objects, then do a render with some basic lighting
an surface properties. I'm also interested in finding out more about
the media (video and soundtrack potentials)... maybe this could me part
of a "Getting into Media with Free Software" series, which could have
other sessions for video format convsersion and linear editing.
Maybe another on specifically making use of digital camera media, ie
both pix and short movies (mine don't have sound, so I'm interested in
adding soundtracks to series of stills and videos).

regards and ciao!

   Ben
