So has anybody played with Samba v3 yet. I am trying to setup a Samba server to act as a PDC for a number of WinXP Clients. After way too much work I have been able to get domain logins working using the new tdbsam backend (may ldap die a long and painful death).

My problem is that I seem to be having almost no luck getting a login script to work. I have specified the login script and the netlogon share. I can see and run the script after the client logs in but the dang thing will not execute on its own.

After way too much random trying of things(TM) I managed to get the login script to run but only if I specify a logon script using the pdbedit command. Now from what I can tell the pdbedit command is supposed to be an uber replacement for smbpasswd. My question is why doesn't the logon script entry in the smb.conf file seem to work anymore?

Anybody? Anybody?
