Cool, I almost had a sparc once, then the guy fried it trying to make
sure it worked before giving it to me :(

Last you heard must have been ~2 years ago or longer.  You can easily
check if OpenBSD will run X with your framebuffer:

What's the "external 4 DVD stacker"?  I don't think NetBSD, and I know
OpenBSD doesn't support UDF.  That doesn't mean they won't play DVDs
though, since libdvdread can read raw data from the device.
