I don't mean to replace the MX server, but to sit in front of it.
-current on a, oh let's say 200MHz pentium and 64MB RAM should be
able to handle spamd/pf redirecting to your MX, and be about as speed
noticible as adding a switch ... and speed your MX by not having to
run all your spam through SA.
