I should have said 10 miles, which is really about 15 minutes. There are only 
a few hours of the day that Im even interested in going on a freeway out 
here... the traffic is so bad that at the wrong time it can take 2 hours to 
go 10 miles. driving out here is nuts...

Theres been a lot of stuff going on in DC the last few weeks.  between the 
normal onslaught of people visiting DC in the spring/summer, there has aslo 
ben a lot of events (like the ww2 memorial, regans corpse, ...) Driving and 
parking in DC is one of the things that has kept me from enjoying some of 
DC's sights... the nations capital does offer some bitchen stuff to do...
DC does have Metro which isnt too bad, however its not cheap (about $10 for 
fare and parking)
I much prefer a 2 mile bike ride in eugene to trying to find a parking spot in 
DC!
