Does anyone on the list currently live in the UO's Spencer View apartments, or have close friends who do? They have a nice community center there, which is wired into the campus network, and I'm not even sure if you have to be a resident to set up a meeting there, but I recently saw an announcement that some other activist organization was meeting there and thought, "What a great idea." Parking might be an issue, though....

ciao,

PS - Do we have a place selected for tomorrow night (7/1)? I'd like to get some OCF-oriented brainstorming going on and see what y'all want to have promoted there...

Well on friday I was able to check with Janice at the Red Lion she said it wouldn't be possible since the meeting rooms have been full. I know she would help out if she could.

There is plenty of empty buildings for an Install Fest without internet access. Pick a building call the Realty company explain what the group would like to do for a day. We would never know until one asks.

I have banner I think I can get. I has something on one side the other side could be used. Tape, paint or something could be used to make letters. "Linux Demo Day Here", "See what Linux can do" for examples which could go on it. If I remember right it would cost about $75-150 for a banner. Kinko's does them. Recycled, Free is good. I would have to send it to Oregon though.
