You beat me to this one! I was looking over the news from CNN lastnight on their website about this new bookie laptop with LINUX on the Wal-Mart site, but I couldn't find it. No, no, I didn't sleep walk on my computer either. Next time, I'll try wearing glasses if I can ever find them! ;)
Btw, guys I've got a laptop here that has Mandrak <sp?> linux on here, that I got from Steve at OPN, when they were still around, when I was doing desk time at the office. But, here's my problem, I'd really want to use the computer, but can't get past the login or password to get into the book to see what's else is on on the HD and sorts.
Say, would Jason and the rest of the ELUG gang be willing to help me get this thing to work??? or else, I might consider talking to that little gingerbread guy about the new linux laptop at "wally world" (wal-mart)??

VIA C# 1Ghz processor w/ 128MB ram is a bit tight, don't plan on doing a whole bunch of photo editing or sound design or anything that will eat resources.
but this might be just the ticket if you need a machine for browser and ssh/ X-terminal type things.
I'll bet Debian runs just fine on this thing.
