Lies and specifications!  There are no less than three ways of measuring
response time, and vendors tend to use the one that gives their panels the
lowest number.  None of them reflect the real life case.

Most LCDs have a higher contrast ratio than the Apple LCDs, which are a
gold standard for many people.  What they lack is the spectrum matching
and overall brightness.  OTOH, my Apple LCD doesn't do "black" and "near
black" very well as seperate colours.  Of course, most CRTs aren't a whole
lot better at that, but you can buy those that are.

If you want better colour response, look for the Samsung four-colour
panels.  They are RGBW.  I don't know of Samsung is making them in the
sizes you'd use on a flat panel display yet.

You often can't afford to have both DVI and KVM in the same setup.  =(
