That 15 pin inverted trapezoid is called a D-sub (that describes that shape of 
connector, its actually a high density D-sub 15 pin). your printer, serial 
mice, and other things use "d-sub" connectors too.

Also, what is an elongated rectangle? seems to me, its still just a rectangle.
