The boards in the pictures (on the minty website are 2 or more layers) You can 
see it has via's (small holes w/small pads), they conduct to the other side 
(and/or other layers within the pcb).

the soldering is pretty bad but it does look functional enough.

I would much rather see a wifi webcam/mike device that fits in an altoid can.
