You have to keep in mind that the primary goal of the NetBSD project
is portability.  It's not so much that they oppose change, but the
fact that one distro has to run on all supported architectures.  As a
NetBSD user, I think that some of those arch's should be scrapped (who
cares if one binary doesn't run on some PDA or outdated Atari?) but of
course, I have no say in the matter.  There has been some change
though, one important one being shorter release cycles.
