Geexbox is probably the best effort to utilize the Via hardware.
miniMYTH is doing the same as well. How well it decodes a stream
on it's own isn't known to me. Consider something like the
Toshiba HD-DVD player, runs linux but has around a 2.5Ghz P4 to
decode the media! That's quite a bit of power. Granted, most
things being pushed across the network wouldn't be more than
standard definition DVD (at least for the next couple years).
