Hmmm,
        PLease clarify for us.  I need to know which of the following is
currently a problem for you.
1.) finding and controlling the modem
2.) configuring peg to use the modem instead of ethernet


for #2 the docs I've been able to find indicate that peng uses the
file /etc/Pengaol/PengAol.conf to store its information.  This will
contain a phone number to dial and the connection device.  you will want
the connection device to be /dev/ttyS0 and the phone number to be your
local dialup number.
