Well for something that seems like it would be a rather common practice in  
Linux (recompiling applications), there doesn't seem to be much instruction on  
how one goes about it (I'm sure it doesn't help that you (Neil) did the whole 
 compiling thing the first time ;-)~). Maybe I don't know the right places to 
 look or something, but I've been scouring all over the place trying to 
figure  out how to edit this fricking app to where it will do what it is 
supposed 
to do  and I hav'nt been finding much luck with it. 
 
As a refresher: when I try to go online, the modem dials, acts like it is  
doing something, and then I get a message in the terminal window saying that  
there was a failure loading tun or tap0 and kaput, no connection. I know it is 
a 
 problem in how peng is set up, but I havn't a clue as to how to edit the 
file  that would straighten this all out. Any assistance would be 
migraine-relief 
at  this point!
