That's pretty hot, marbux. They have a product called wordPort that's
WAY less expensive than what it cost me to get six Brother floppies
converted to word format.
S'pose, if I was willing to spellcheck after the conversion, this
product would technically be free...
The interesting part for me is how this software can trick my machine
into reading a single-density Brother-formatted floppy disk in a HD
floppy drive.
Have yet to dive into your other links--but the first hit was promising.
Thanx heaps, for your help,
M

On your problem with Brother files, I haven't tried any of them, but
there is a conversion tool here that claims to be able to do it.
<http://www.file-convert.com/ff.htm>>. Free unlimited trial download but
it automagically inserts spelling errors. They also have an online
service that has Brother listed as a conversion source type. See also <
http://www.acii.com/dvlpref.htm#TC00016>, which seems to be a
development library for the same conversion engine. Not clear whether
it's free for private use.
