Installed Suse 10.2 this morning.Works perfect thus far on both KDE and GNOME. We'll see what happens when I install the nvidia drivers.

Logging in under gnome or under xfce4 I get the correct screen resolution. It's remotely possible the fix that I did to KDE also fixed gnome. It was awhile back when I did it, plus it involved quite a bit of thrashing about.
