I have set them up previously and they offer significant convenience. For
example, file sharing is really nice. With the DSL I have had to set up an FTP
server and use that to get files in and out. It works, but drag and drop are
sure easier.

Subject: Re: [Eug-lug] Need help with a 2.4 kernel question

Bob,

Is the a specific reason you need the P Tools? I have a number of Linux
instances running in Parallels (Server) without using P Tools at all. However,
I do remember trying to install P Tools on other Distros, and finding it a
major pain, and since I never found a compelling reason to need it, I just
decided to forget about it.

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks. Looks like there is a lot more information out there now than when I was
first working on this more than a year ago.

I have working code, I just need to get it working on a 2.4 kernel. Thanks to
Mike's suggestion, I've got Damn Small Linux up in a VM and it's got a 2.4.31
kernel. It has been a real pain to work with so far though. My VM is Parallels
and getting the P Tools to build on DSL has so far eluded me.
