It should be possible to build a virtual environment to run your word processor 
 in. In essence you would be running a program that runs your old operating 
system to run the wp8 that you want. Once it's setup it would be a launcher 
item in your new environment. And you would just launch your word processor as 
usual. Setup will be somewhat complex but help is available. This would be a 
future proof solution.
