RE: Europa submersible hypothetical

One more thought about the Europan sub: James Waldie, an undergraduate at
RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia wrote a thesis entitled, "The
Propulsion System for an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Mission to Europa."
He published the chapter on Europan ocean characteristics online at
http://home.vicnet.net.au/~nbrotar/Europam.htm (with acknowledgments to
Bruce Moomaw).   I think Waldie did a very nice job summarizing what our
planetologist friends have been able to glean from the available data.  I
imagine the rest of his thesis would make interesting reading, too.
