As to streaming technology, with the higher compression from the newer codecs, it's a 
lot better than it used to be. I routinely watch 
news and PBS programs full screen with streaming video on a dial-up connection. I have 
also used TV-Out to watch those programs full 
screen on a TV monitor.

Even if in some instances you wanted the higher resolution available by downloading 
for better detail, the streaming could be used as a 
'preview', to decide which videos you wanted to download.
