For those who didn't go to this site http://www.hondaev.org it appears this
is a pro EV site and not a Honda site.

You neglected to mention that the pack replacement at 27,000 miles (no
reason given) was within specs. A later section at the site said that the
tech said it was a GFI problem and the pack was sent back to Panasonic.

You also neglected to mention this report that was on the site:

TOYOTA releases the RAV4 EV for sale!

Thanks Toyota!

EV RAV4 has the battery pack well-sited on the bottom, as the former Honda
EV+. To date, about 1200 Toyota RAV4 on the road in fleet operation have
had zero battery pack replacement. The batteries have virtually zero
defects, considering the number of cells, and they do not suffer apparent
degradation. A great 5-passenger vehicle, and perhaps the first time that
any auto maker appears to comply with the full spirit of the Zero Emission
Vehicle mandate.

While it is hard to believe that these NiMH packs can be this perfect I
don't recall that many problems with the NiMH pack on the EV-1 club board.

You don't just happen to work for the AAM do you Seth........just kidding.
