I am in agreement with David. I am not aware of people's likes and dislikes
in the west, but here in India, build and size is all that matters. A lot of
people have seen Reva and everyone wants it to be a four seater, than 2
adults + 2 kids. Sports cars will not sell even in hundreds, at least not
immediately. The market is dominated by Maruthi-Suzuki (JV). The company has
set a 'standard' for small cars and anything below that will NOT sell.
Sadly, for much lesser price than the Reva, people get a 4 seater (ICE
driven), no holds bar car (Maruthi-Suzuki 800 - "people's car" in India).

Yes, government has a role to play. Import duties are huge, resulting in
increased price of EVs here.
