Fwd: CARB's continued EV support ... I had sent a message to CARB asking that conversions continue to be supported as viable EVs. CARB gave me their response below.

The current legislation (AB 71) require that vehicles be certified to a ULEV standard or cleaner which would normally eliminate homebuilts since they were not certified. However, with staying with the spirit of the law, any and all applications for the label on these vehicles will be handled on a one on one basis. Any and all custom built EV's can give us a call and we can help them through the application process.
