Concerning the cable length from the EVSE to the car the SAE J1772 Standard states that "The cordset length shall be in accordance with NEC 625". NEC 625.17 Cable states "The overall length of the cable shall not exceed 7.S m (25 ft) unless equipped with a cable management system that is listed as suitable for the purpose."
