I agree the volt is a transitional vehicle, (between ice and EV) but doesn't 
that by definition mean its NOT an EV.

Calling the Volt an EV just introduces confusion into a subject dominated by 
traditional ICE manufacturers and reporters that are  to busy/lazy/indifferent 
to get it right.

I feel the EV community should embrace plug-in hybrids as great transitional 
vehicles, but make the distinction between a hybrid and an EV. EVs are not 
inherently better, but they are different.
