Have inquired if banding was required several times with CALB cells. I have been told by CALB it is not required. So at least from one Manufacturer this has been addressed. Also the manual that comes with a full box says nothing about banding. If you destroy the cell yes they will swell. However banding is not going to kept an abused CALB cell from being damaged.
