I wouldn't do it unless you plan to run the battery completely flat which we all know shortens its life. When my car was new (1200 miles on it), I drove it about 63 miles at 55 MPH. I started with a full charge and had 17 miles left when I got home. I was in econ mode the whole way. The car is now 15 months old, and I am sure it could not do 60 miles at 65 MPH. Someone else driving my car tried to do around 65 miles at highway speed. I am sure it was about 65 MPH. Got there and had less than 1/2 battery left. Had to take the slow back roads home and barely made it. Speed kills batteries. At 55 MPH in econ you could do the 60 miles, but not at 65 MPH unless your car is brand new (a 2013 which has slightly larger battery).
