The interesting thing about the guess-o-meter is that it predicts your
available range under the most current driving conditions. Therefore when
you turn on the heat or AC, it will show a significant change in range when
each device or system is engaged (especially when the fan is on higher
speeds). The Leaf is very well insulated, meaning that the heat or AC does
not have to be used continuously to achieve the desired results, rather, it
can be toggled, allowing the driver to "extend" their range beyond what the
meter indicates.
