I had my 32A Polar (MasterCharge) EVSE with Mennekes lead installed last week. You can opt for the 1772 one instead. Very neat and simple box (though the associated electrical gubbins is a bit OTT - I'll get it re-done much more neatly in due course). Filled in and sent off my application form and got an email within a week. Then a phone call a day or so later saying that they could install it the next day but I was away so had to put if off for a week or so.
If ANYONE (and I *mean* anyone - you don't need to own an EV and the box is yours to do with as you please once installed - so you could even take it off and flog it on eBay!) wants one I should get in your application soon. That said, the engineer who fitted mine said uptake had been pretty slow, so there should be a fair amount of money left in the pot. Evan's comment about small print refers to the rather wordy application form - but it is just there to tell you that there is a GSM-based usage monitor in the unit that reports back to Polar. I just don't understand why every household and business in the country hasn't applied for one. Now all I need is an EV to plug into it.
