Hi the TS batteries were side mounted in both orientations (just looked). The pack is contained in a demountable underfloor sealed tray (6 bolts) the different orientations are arranged to fit around underfloor bumps. The corrosion was internal. The dates range from 6 to 2 years old

Also, by "on their sides" is that with the wide part horizontal or the narrow side down? Finally, did the terminals corrode on the inside or outside?
