I should say 'I told you so'. :P This was well known issue already 8 years ago. We had conversations about it in EVDL and also directly with companies who were considering to use the cells this way. Plenty of meetings in UK too during several excursions.
So I do not think it's Winston's fault people decided to do it that way anyway. Misusing the cells is not a warranty issue. There were improvements made in the cells to prevent this but it's in the design.
