<I'm puzzled by this post. I don't understand why you stripped the lithium
battery out. Why not offer the Neon for sale as a usable, running EV? Was
the battery kaputt? If so, why not drop in a simple, low cost working lead
battery, so some buyer can have a daily driver? <curious>>

The Batteries in the Neon were in good shape, well cared for and are
now resting in ANOTHER Diamond in the Rough, a Ford Ranger that had
Lead Acid batteries that were dead. There are just some incredible
deals out there. This Ranger that I put the Lithiums in has the MR2
power steering, a heater with water pump, a nice stereo and lots of
other amenities, like aluminum drive shaft, fiber glass hood and back
fenders. Somebody really did some "loving" on this car. A bit of a
rats nest in the wiring, which I am slowly bringing back. I read the
log that the person who did the car kept and it started out with a lot
of enthusiasm, but at some point I noticed in their writings that
their Golf Cart Batteries were getting a little out of sync. I
believe it was 3/10th of a Volt. and then the log stopped. Kept of
like finding a diary of a hiker and an empty nap sack. So that is the
reason for taking the batteries out. I don't believe the owner really
has much hope of selling this. He has TESLA OSIS !!!!! And
anything BUT a Tesla looks like an old plow horse compared to a John
Deere Tractor. This had battery boxes set up for the 160ah TS
batteries. The batteries were in the back seat area, the trunk area
was never used. Did I mention that it has an Air Conditioning pump
and power Steering pump set up to run off the tail shaft of the 9"
motor. Air Conditioning looks plumbed, but I don't have any idea if it
works. I believe he would be happy to see it go to a good home. I
have a short video of it driving, before I gutted it. I would
actually consider keeping this for my self.... BUT as Audrey reminds
me... I have.. lets see One 914, 2 Porsche 912's, a Ford F150, Dune
Buggy, 2 Coco NEV's, 2 golf carts, a Mazda B2000, Mitsubishi pick up,
AND the HULK (the 1956 Ford) and then of course Audrey has HER Rav4
and her 1967 Austin. She is NOT going to let me bring this back to
Florida. Did I forget to mention the Vetrix and my Suzuki electric
Motor cycles? Of course everything I have needs work and they are all
diamonds in the rough also.

Audrey here... a little paint, some new batteries and this would be a
really nice daily driver for someone CHEAP! $2,500 is cheap. A new
motor with shipping is $2,000 so whatever else you get is almost
gravy. This has the Curtis Controller and Adapter Plate. Great Father
/ son weekend project.
