If I had a single speed transmission, my motor ampere would vary from 0 to 700 ampere! I have replace my manual transmission with a auto/manual where three speeds are manual and three speeds vary between the shift changes, keeping the motor ampere constant at 200 amperes no matter if I am acceleration or climbing up a hill.
I increase my range about 25 percent from 39.5 miles to about 54 miles at 50% SOC. Some of these new computer control transmissions have a select lever that over rides the auto shift that allows to drive a vehicle in more of a violent mode if that what you want. You won't want either the auto box or five of the speeds. The journo obviously isn't an EV car person. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/EVLN-17-5k-Chevrolet-reveals-Spark-EV-details-tp4664491p4664494.html<http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/EVLN-17-5k-Chevrolet-reveals-Spark-EV-details-tp4664491p4664494.html> Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub<http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub> http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org<http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org> For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA<http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA>) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
