I have a Curtis PMC floating around the Junqyard somewhere. IIRC its is 72 V. I
got it with a Jet Electrica I had years ago and don't know anything about it. I
would consider selling it, make me an offer or I would trade it for a higher
voltage controller suitable for a motorcycle. Dach.

Subject: [EVDL] Looking for some parts

I am looking for some used old parts that you don't want any more.  I have
several EVs, but one in particular I want to lower the voltage (possibly as
low as 72 V).  The car is 120 V today and has a matched 120 V controller
and charger.  Both, believe it or not are not adjustable.  It was very
surprising to find out that the Zapi H2 controller set for 120 V
specifically says in the manual don't run at any voltage other than 120 V,
even lower voltages.  I bet is has some low voltage cutoff so it won't work
on other voltages.  The charger like many doesn't have much adjustment.

Anyway, the car has several weak batteries and I'm pretty much over it.
I've moved on to another car.  It makes no sense for me to replace the
batteries on this car.  The car is old and beat up.  The controller and
charger are worth far more than I can sell the car for.  Even though it has
a 9" motor, it's too much work to pull it out.  That beast at 143 lbs is
too heavy to mess with.  And besides, I can't really drive it with mixed
weak batteries.  I put individual chargers on them and tried to drive it
with limited success.  Tried to sell the car, but I can't get what the
controller and charger are worth.  I can use those on my other EV.

So, I'm looking for used old cheap charger (probably 72 V) and a controller
for 72 V (something like an Alltrax 7245 or Curtis 24-72V / 400 Amp model).
I can't pay much for them because the car after I swap the parts isn't
worth much.  But, I'd rather make it driveable, even at 72V and sell it
dirt cheap rather than completely dismantling it and sending it the scrap
yard.  It does run very short distances.  I can't see crushing a working
EV.  I did drive it a total of 50 miles this week (with a lot of
recharging). But, I also can't sell it for 1/2 the controller and charger
value either.  This is unfortunately what happens to a lot of old
conversions that simply aren't worth the cost of the battery pack.

I've also been looking for a Rusco charger with boost transformer to use on
my other car.  Something that can adjust between 72 and 144V and run on a
15 Amp ckt without tripping breaker.

Let me know what you have and I'll see if we can make a deal.
