I agree with Cruisin (never thought that would happen) ;<). After 23 years of selling conversion kits we have seen a dramatic decrease in sales of kits. Still the odd "father / kid" project and a few performance builds as well as a strong export market to countries where OEM EV's just are not available or are too expensive. I actually tell people who call and want to convert a car to commute to work that they should look at the OEM EV's. They are not looking for a project, they just want an EV so OEM is best for them. I think anyone who has to pay for the labor to convert their car are going to be much better off with a factory EV. If they cant build it, then they will not be able to keep it running in the long term. I don't believe conversions are dead or we would not have just done a run of 100 adapters of our most popular models, we just are not going to see the volumes we saw in 06 - 08. We have found a good market in prototyping battery powered vehicles and equipment for other companies who want to get into the market but lack the knowledge.

Steve, I could not have said it any better than you. I tried, but everybody
that is not in the business like you and I, think the conversion frenzy of
yester year is here to stay. The conversions at Cupertino last Saturday was
down 42% from last year. The real bad news was that were not any NEW builds
there that were not there last year or started within the last year. For
those of us that have been it since the beginning should appreciate what we
have learned and done that others didn't or couldn't. I hear some say that
they are waiting for conversion kits with batteries capable of 200-300 miles
they can buy for less than $10,000.00. Dream on. It's been a good ride.
