Hello Steve,

Go to a motor or electronics shop and purchase a electrical-electronics
cleaner. I use Chemtronics which is a call ElectrO-Wash and after you clean
it, then apply the Chemtronics rinse which is dielectric cleaner. Sometimes
the dielectric cleaner is all you need is the components are clean.

They also make a motor wash where you spray the motor first to remove dirt from
the outside of the motor. Then take off the brush covers in a dc motor. A ac
motor with air grills or a totally enclose motor, you have to take off the
junction box that attaches to the side of the motor. This allows the dielectric
cleaner to get inside the motor while the whole motor is submersed in a tank of
this cleaner.

We than run the motor while in the tank or in some cases, can leave it in place
and power spray the wash and dielectric rinse.

This will also remove the lubrication from the motor bearings, so you can spray
it with a Chemtronics dielectric lubrication compound.

In either case, you can actually run the motor when in a cleaning tank or in
place with the spray.

  Subject: [EVDL] Water inside controller

I have a logic system controller that was on a motorcycle and has been
sitting outside. wanted to put the controller on a golf cart and when I
took it out I noticed some water seeping out of it. I took the back off of
it and dumped all the water out but that's screws inside seemed a little
rusty. I haven't put any power to it and I'm wondering before I do if
there's something I can pour inside the controller to clean up some of this
dirt and or water mud. Steve clunn
