Lawrence,

Is your problem at the moment that you are starting the car?
Note that at that time the aux battery has been discharged by
any parasitic loads.
In addition, if the DC/DC is not running while charging but the
charger does draw from the aux battery, then you can run your
aux battery down and even fail to charge the pack while charging...
(This was reported here a few months ago)

I had a problem with my Iota not seeming ti keep up the charge on my 12 v 
battery.  Iver a month or two the battery will failto run the vac pump an the 
contactors. You would think the dc would take the load but it is obvious that 
ohms law doesn't favor the battery.  What can you do to take the load off the 
battery as the Iota will run everything once the contactors lock down.  I 
somerimes have to un hook the vac pump to start the car.   Lawrence Rhodes
