I don't think weight would make that much difference, especially at freeway
speeds.  Sure, there are cases, but we're talking about a generalized
number.  In stop & go city traffic it would make a difference, even with
good regen, but they probably are not citing that extreme condition either.

I suspect they're flat out wrong.  You can get 120 mile range from the Leaf,
too - if you drive at a constant 50mph (or maybe a  bit slower) on good flat
pavement without fluctuating your speed, etc.
