If they're rude enough to unplug you, they might be nasty enough to damage the lock, or even your car, trying to free the coupler. The problem here is that you can't know how badly the other guy needs a charge. On the other hand, you probably can't count on him to be truthful about that. There are always people who consider their needs more important than yours, no matter what they are. Was the other guy driving a Tesla, by any chance? Just wondering. I don't want to spark an OT discussion, but let's just say that some folks out there in the Real World are not that well socialized. Often their parents didn't do their jobs in that respect. Also, for some of them, the more wealth they acquire, the worse this gets. (Not to say that all wealthy folks - or Tesla drivers - are this way, just that having "beaucoup d'argent" seems to amplify pre-existing a**holiness.) I fear that as the number of EVs on the road grows, this problem is apt to get worse. That was one of the nice things about EVs being strictly hobbyist-built a few years ago - the community was closer, I think.
