Hi John, Just install a plugging diode, which is a power diode across the armature. It won't prevent him from plug reversing but should eliminate the contactor arcing.

I have a customer who thinks it is great fun to throw the car in reverse rathar than use the hydraulic brakes. He has been requested not to do so but has beat a second reversing contactor to death. This is on an industrial cart running 36V through power resistors to the motor with a 24V control circuit to the reversing contactor and a kilovac power contactor. respectfully, John _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
