Some "poor guys" consider that a challenge and enjoy it, at least now and 
then.  To each his own.  

IMO an EV is still not quite the right tool for the job of long distance 
road trips, but with high power charging gradually making its way into the 
marketplace, it's getting "righer."

As far as self driving cars, I have some opinions there too, but I'd rather 
not start an off topic discussion (and a possibly flamey one to boot).

In most of the rest of Wayne's post, he's just pulling your chain.  I think 
he gets a kick ouf of getting us riled up.  ;-)
