Morgan,
I heartily recommend Ameriprise Auto and Home Insurance, which I bound with for
both ICE and EV coverages, after initial referral through my COSTCO
addiction...I'm in California but Ameriprise is back in your neck of the woods
with facilities both in Minnesota and Wisconsin; they're reachable @ (888)
239-9953 and I really like those folks!  Will outside Sacramento

Which insurance companies have sold insurance for EV conversions in
Minnesota? I know Lee Hart and some others have conversions in Minnesota.

So far I've gotten responses from State Farm, Liberty Mutual, and American
Family Insurance that they wouldn't insure a modified vehicle (nothing
specific about EVs). Some of the agents were surprised that the
underwriters refused coverage. State Farm said that they would insure it if
the conversion was done by a reputable shop and directed me to an insurance
broker, though.

I'm just wondering if anyone could recommend their insurance company or
agent. Although it seems like nowadays the individual agent matters less
with the underwriters having the final say.

Thanks,
Morgan LaMoore
