This is the "short" version (still 28 minutes) of the long video.

Thanks for posting! Very well done, not to mention informative.

With my Leaf experience, I'd be leery of using Leaf cells. I think they
have an expected life of only about 800 cycles even under good
conditions. I hope you'll keep us posted on any future failures. I
guess you know how many miles your donor car had? I'd divide by 50 to
estimate the number of cycles. I guess that says the expected life is
only about 40k miles? Are there any 100k mile Leafs out there?

I'm hoping that my 2013 leaf modules will work out better than your experience.

My donor car had 19K miles on it, which consisted of 10 DC quick charges and 775 L1/L2 charge cycles according to the BMS. (that's 24.2 miles per charge event, although the equivalent "full cycles" of the battery would be much lower, as it appears the pack was typically charged well before being fully depleted.)

The BMS claimed that the pack health was at 97% when I pulled the modules. Considering that my S-10 conversion only has 19K miles on (after conversion), if I could get another 20K miles on this pack I'd be very happy!

I'm being careful to not deeply discharge the pack, and I am only rarely charging it to "full" (trying to keep the pack between 80%-50% of it's capacity at most times.)

If the modules do need replacing, now that I have everything set up, swapping out just the modules wouldn't take nearly as much time as the conversion from Lead Acid, and there should be a lot of wrecked Leaf's to harvest them from. Not quite as easy as ordering a pack of 20 golf cart batteries, but the price/performance is much better.
