Thank you Jay for time-editing (shortening) your original video documentation. I found this edited video very useful, and informative.
For those viewing these posts, some background: http://www.evalbum.com/3693 Jay's evalbum site (details & images on his EV) https://www.summet.com/blog/tag/etruck/ Jay's web site (much more details & images in a blog format) Summarizing (corrections requested), Jay's 120VDC S-10 Truck conversion EV, has now been upgraded from using a lead-acid (PbSO4) battery pack, to using a li-ion pack made from a re-purposed (salvaged) Leaf EV pack. The twenty 6V golf/traction PbSO4 wet-cell batteries were removed, battery boxes renovated (dirty acid-sprayed portions replaced, etc.), and 48 flat 8V li-ion cells arranged in series-parallel (3 strings in parallel). Those cells were physically arranged in 5 sections (modules) installed under the truck bed in the rear, the charger and BMS are now using the space where the front PbSO4 batteries used to be. The existing charger and BMS can be adjusted to work with the li-ion battery chemistry change. Since the system voltage has not changed, the existing DC Motor, DC controller, and DC-to-DC did not need to change. I am hoping that automotive instructors will show this video in their courses. This video would also be helpful to potencial customers of EV-conversion businesses, to explain how much and what type of work would have to be done (they could see what they will be paying for if they want a li-ion upgrade).
