I think it's great that these kids are working on an EV.  But "serious 
battery power"?  Welllllll .... hmm.

Most of the LiPoly cells I've seen are rated for a maximum discharge of 3-
4C.  Maybe someone else can tell for sure what the cell AH capacity is from 
the pic.  I can't.  But if we assume they're 100ah, that's a peak power of 
around 59kW into the controller.

Maybe Smith thinks that's "serious power," but sorry, I don't.
