Renault Dauphines had what the advertisements called a city horn and a country horn. That struck me as rather more civilized than the dissonant blare of Detroit Iron. A few Dauphines were made into Henny Kilowatt EVs, and I assume that the two-level horns were left in place. But we're talking here about scooter warnings.
